One of my favorite things to do, is to go out and ride bikes with the family. It’s always nice to get the family together to go for a ride. I was thinking about getting a tandem bike so that my girlfriend and I can go out biking together, but on the same bike. Do you guys like tandem bikes? Are they worth getting versus having each of us ride a bike instead?
I drove one with my girlfriend years ago, but didn’t like it all that much. I prefer riding a bike alone, just better to control. As well, I can’t see us using the tandem bike that often, because we like to go riding alone sometimes.
Never was too into tandem bikes myself. I always thought they controlled like crap, especially with someone else along for the ride. I rode one back in 2010 with my wife, and I didn’t really find it all that fun. I prefer riding on one bike each, and just riding around together. Much more appealing to me.
I think I’ll pass then. I thought it would be fun, but if it’s something I would only use once or twice, I figure bikes would be a better alternative. Plus, I spoke with my girlfriend and she wasn’t sure about getting a tandem bike.
Yes I have tried and it doesn’t seems to be good. Riding alone is far better and fun. Riding in tandem bike just doesn’t feel like riding or something seems to be wrong about it.
It’s fun, rode it on my family trip in Bali. The Country side we rode was beautiful, if was free from the noise and hassles. Enjoyed, riding there. It’s a beautiful experience for our family.
