Calisthenics is usually done for burning calories and loosing weight. I feel it’s better to hit the gym and stay fitter.

Calisthenics is a form of exercise that rely on nothing but a person’s own body weight. The main reason people opt for this kind of workout is that Calisthenics allows for the development of strength, endurance and flexibility.

Many people confuse it with functional training. Even though, they are little similar. The main philosophy behind Calisthenics is to use our body weight to do exercise. They believe that, by using our own body weight we won’t get injured and can attain greater muscle strength and flexibility.

Calisthenics is a great way of building strength….. Bruce Lee was into Calisthenics to build his core strength. This is mainly because Shaolin monks use Calisthenics to train.

I do HIIT training, to improve my stamina and cardio strength. Didn’t try Callisthenic yet. Heard it’s good to improve core strength.
