Designer John Aldridge has created the Bird of Prey Bicycle. It’s a prone or semi-prone bike, meaning that you’re lying down and face forward, instead of sitting down on a bike or in a laid-back reclining or recumbent position. Your thoughts about this? Would you try this?

I doubt it’s comfortablity for riding for longer distance. Either neck or the legs could get strained.

Reminds me of Titanic. Who knows may be riders would feel flying like Jack & Rose.

The design is definitely a highly streamlined version but it doesn’t look all that appealing with the rider on it.

I certainly don’t feel you will have be comfortable riding in this position. Certainly aerodynamically this bike seems to offer less resistance to forward motion. This design will probably be more apt for an ebike but I dread pedaling in that position.

This is a great design, it’s said to reduce drag caused by wind resistance. The petals are placed to generate more power and propel the bike faster than conventional bikes. It also allows full range leg movement without stressing lower abdomen. It’s a very unique design.
