What cyclists did you fanboy over growing up a fan of cycling, bikes and mountain bikes? For me it was probably Lance Armstrong before the steroids or whatever he took. Sucks because I wanted to be just like the guy, but after what came of light, I haven’t been a fan since. But, what are some other stars you’re a fan of?

Loïc Bruni is my favourite. He is also a three time Elite world champion. It seems natural that he will be a big name in downhill mountain biking.

I love Lance Armstrong, even after all that controversies. He is a true champion, if only steroid could make a champion, then the world would be filled with champions. He was more than that, he was battling cancer and racing at the last stages of his carrier. If you ask me, he won the championships and also his fight against cancer, he is now cancer free and living a good life.

I didn’t have any particular favourite in bike sports. I actually got interested in bike sports rather late. But once I started watching bike races, especially dirt bike racing, I got hooked to it. I feel to have a favorite biker is not fair. Credit have to be given to all the daring participants in such races.

I love long distance riding, am a fan of Tommy Godwin. He holds the world cycling record for most miles covered in a year and the fastest completion of 100,000 mi. In 1939. Am nowhere near him. But still admire him for his consistency. He rode 75,065 mi in a year, averaging over 200 miles per day

All time favourite would be Eddie Merckx who has won World Championship three times and has 11 tour wins. He is the most successful male rider in the history of competitive cycling.
