I have mix and matched bike parts on a lot of my bikes. I grew up messing with bikes, so it’s a habit of mine to mess around with the build. I always add a different seat, wheels, pedals and sometimes more. What about you? Do you ever replace parts from other bikes?

Yes, always. While most bikes come with pretty good components fitted to them these days, I change some due to personal preference. For example, handlebar grips are a big one for me. I often switch mine out to Burgtec Bartender Pro grips, I actually really like their new soft compound grip actually. I don’t tend to swap parts from MTB to MTB though. There are so many standards these days, that it’s not as easy to swap items over as it was.

All the time for me as well. I like mixing and matching because sometimes you can build something a bit better, or more in tune to something that works for you. I’ve done this for the majority of the bikes I’ve owned, and will continue to do so for future bikes.

It’s always fun to mix bike parts. I would make me feel like a scientist.

Yes it’s always ba great idea to mis match and then see the final output of it. It feels like we have come up with a new model or design 😂

I have not tried doing it but of course I have added a few things to my bike especially the wraps and saddle.

Always a yes to mis-match and love the final product look. Sometimes we tend to see a better and efficient bike product after we mix up the parts.
