I like to do a lot of riding at night. I use my reflectors, but I was wondering if I should install LED lighting on my bike so that I can have some added protection at night? I have a little headlight to see in front of me, but I would still like some LED lights on my bike to warn drivers of my presence out there at night. Any suggestions?

I think it adds a lot of protection to add LED lighting on your bike. Reflectors imo are probably enough, but if you are a nighttime rider, it doesn’t hurt to have extra lighting to make sure motorists don’t hit ya.

Honestly, I think it adds a bit of protection when you’re out and about, especially at night. But during the day, I would say no. During the day it may actually bother others. But at night, I would do it for your own protection if it makes it safer for you and everyone else involved.

LED lights are pretty cool, can install automatic turn lights in your bike seats. It would automatically signal your turn direction. Also having LED head lights is safer while riding in the night. You can just clamp the head light and remove it, when not needed.

It’s a must have for me. As i use my bike for regular commute and I come ride late night to my home. Fortunately my E-bike come with inbuilt LED bulb and turn lights. It feels very safe to ride with lights on in the night.

If you are living in the City with good street lights, LED lights won’t be much useful to you. The reflectors on your bike and your helmets would be enough.

I love the look of led lights in bike. I have seen so many night riders who have installed in their bike. They look so cool. Tha main reason might be protection also.

I prefer the reflectors on my bike than LED lights. In this way I can conserve my battery just for riding alone.
