Curious what everyone is running in their tires. A bit of extra information would be helpful too. I’ll start.
Mainly ride rocky and loose terrain in the dry Tahoe weather. I have Ibis 741 rims which are 35mm wide, so I can run really low pressures if I desire. I’m 145lbs
Front: WTB Vigilante 2.5 Light/High Grip 19 Psi
Rear: WTB Breakout 2.3 Tough/Fast Rolling 24 Psi
Bike: Ibis Mojo HD3
While riding long distances would keep my front tire in 28PSI and rear tire at 30 PSI. I feel it comfortable for riding longer distances. It also makes the ride softer.
From my experience, I have found that despite lower pressures the tires are less susceptible to become flats. For my weight I make it a point to fill 26 PSI (Front) / 28 PSI (Rear) in my tubeless tyre.
High pressure will support the sidewalls and offer more protection from the rim. Whereas low pressure will increase grip and give you a lot of traction.
