I’ve had my share of bikes over the years, but one bike I had I ended up hating. I don’t recall the brand of bike, all I remember was that it was an older bike, a bike from the 70s I believe. I got it at a rummage sale and thought it looked cool. Well it broke on me soon after. I realized it was a cheaply made bike from the 80s, and whoever previously owned it, modified it so much that it just rusted in certain spots and broke down.

I wish I could remember what brand it was, but it was so stripped down from modifications, that I don’t even know if it was the same bike it was when it was released.

Anyway, what was the worst bike you ever owned?

That’s a good question. I’ve owned a Mongoose mountain bike and I was not a fan of it. Something about its handling was off and I just didn’t enjoy the ride whenever I used it. Of course, with Mongoose, you’re not always getting the best of quality, at least imo. I can’t blame my mom though, she got it for me as a birthday present. I rode it until I could afford a better mountain bike, and I never looked back.

@Emma Mongoose hasn’t made a ‘real’ mountain bike for decades 😂

I sense some sarcasm, lol. Mongoose does make mountain bikes, I just don’t consider mongoose that good of a producer of bikes. Maybe for kids and first time riders, but for advanced riders, Mongoose isn’t really worth the time.

As for the worst bike I have ever owned, that’s a good question. For me, it would probably have been the Trek Marlin 6. Some people have praised the bike, but I never felt the ride as a whole was any good. It was cheap too, so you get what you pay for.

When i was a kid, Dad bought me a bike from nearby store. It was manufactured in the shop with pipes lying around in the shop. It broke into two half within few months. And Dad scolded me for breaking it. I never bought anything from that shop again.

I had a bad experience with a cycle. Don’t remember the brand name. It looked cool, with racing handles. But the bike’s geometry was wrong, had lot of back pain riding it. Had to stop riding for few month because of this. After that, always bought cycles from good brands. And avoided racing handles.
